It took 4 months to go from from 0 to 10,000 visitors and just 10 months to go from 10,000 to 100,000. WOW! So I thought I'd share some statistics and thoughts....Here are the visitor statistics for this blog:
What is really gratifying is that there has been a pretty consistent increase in the number of unique and returning visitors as well as the number of blog pages that were viewed. This suggests to me that you like the content I provide enough to keep coming back. It also suggests that more people are becoming aware of this resource and want to "check it out."Here is a map showing the locations for a typical day of visitor traffic:
Not surprising to see that most of the visitors are coming from the U.S., Canada and Europe. It's great to see also see some loyal visitors from South East Asia.Things I've really enjoyed/appreciated:
• Writing the posts - trying to provide useful and practical information that isn't easily available anywhere else has been a great and rewarding challenge.
• Developing the posts - I also do all the graphics and I've taken most of the photos that illustrate the posts.
• Seeing people visiting from so many places around the world - including some places where I have travelled myself.
• The folks (like "otherthoughts" and Trevor Bruckshaw) who have stepped forward to help me with my spelling and catch other errors that sometimes creep in.
• The folks who have taken the time to write comments on the blog or who have contacted me directly via email to make a comment. Comments are very important since it's the only way that I know that this blog has been of value - so make sure you comment!
• Folks who have subscribed to the blog.
• Folks who have contacted me through email to get more information on a posted topic. There is nothing more frustrating to me than to see that someone has arrived on my blog and then left after doing a search on a question that I can answer but have not yet done a post on. I am here to help as well as I can - just ask me via email.
• Having my RE:Print cartoons being published by WhatTheyThink.com HERE
Things I would like to see improved:
• More feedback/comments on the posts from visitors to the blog. It's the only way I know whether what I post makes any sense, provides the right level of information, or covers topics that provide value.
• More linkages. Let others know about this blog, add a link to it on your website.
Finally, thank you all for taking the time to visit my blog and I look forward to many more posts in the future - and hopefully many contacts from you!
