  1. What about the use of alkaline paper in digital printing?

  2. It's the fountain solution in offset lithography that does most of the leaching out of calcium carbonate causing the problem. Since there is no fountain solution with digital printing I shouldn't think there would be a problem.

  4. AFAIK salt prints are exposed onto watercolor paper. Probably "cold-pressed" if you want some texture to the surface.
